Suppliers/Manufacturers

Because our suppliers are integral to the success of our partnership, UniLink pays special attention to the selection of suppliers. Essentially, we're looking for suppliers who will give Members a clear advantage over their non-UniLink competitors. Although we are looking for the best overall value, we do not always choose the supplier with the lowest per unit price, as there are several variables involved in creating long-term supplier relationships.

Our program supplier selection process includes the following steps:

  1. Receive and review initial information from potential supplier.
  2. Survey Members and discuss the nature of their business and product needs.
  3. Schedule a face-to-face meeting with the potential supplier. This gives UniLink the opportunity to introduce key players in our supplier programs, including Members Service Representatives, Supplier Programs Manager, New Member Development and many others.
  4. Obtain product samples (where appropriate) and test in plants and/or laboratories. Receive feedback from Members already using the product or service as to whether test results are consistent with actual experience.
  5. Finalize a summary of agreement between UniLink and the potential supplier upon approval.

UniLink asks that UniLink suppliers meet the following requirements before an agreement is signed:

  1. Be able to serve the entire United States.
  2. Offer UniLink Members a pricing program that is more competitive than any average independent company could receive on their own.
  3. Submit a monthly report detailing each UniLink Member's purchases for that month.
  4. Attend our annual conference, FOCUS
